Luton and Dunstable’s bus network gets better than ever

1 month ago Fri 8th May 2026

From 31 May 2026 we’ll be improving our bus network in Luton and Dunstable with a variety of changes. Some of our services are being replaced by new services with more frequent connections, we’ll have more journeys to London Luton airport and we’re making some timetable changes to keep buses running on time.

Take a look at our new services will look from 31 May 2026

1 Farley Hill to Dunstable

We’re refreshing the timetable on service 1 to help keep buses running smoothly and on time. Weekend services are also being strengthened, with buses running up to every 20 minutes on Sundays during the busiest shopping period. Late evening journeys will continue to connect with key shift times at White Lion Retail Park, ensuring the route continues to support both shoppers and workers travelling at busy times.

4/4A/4B Luton to L&D Hospital

Big improvements are coming to route 4, with routes 4, 4A and new route 4B combining to provide buses up to every 20 minutes between Warden Hill and Luton. The new timetable delivers a simpler, more coordinated service with better connections across the town.

All buses will now serve Barnfield College, creating a more consistent route for customers and improving access to the campus. As part of these changes, buses will no longer serve Cromer Way.

There’s also great news for customers in north Luton and Dunstable, with route 4A being extended to Dunstable. Route 4 will now also serve Pastures Way, Ravenhill Way, Kestrel Way and Wheatfield Road in Lewsey Farm.

During evenings and weekends, route 4A will operate between Luton and the L&D Hospital, with an additional journey extending to White Lion Retail Park to support key shift times.
