Service 95 Sleights to Whitby Stainsacre:  This service is revised in both route and timetable due to updated weight limit restrictions expected to be in place on Whitby Swing Bridge. As a result, Service 95 will operate both ways via Prospect Hill & Bagdale and will no longer serve Church Street. Regrettably, due to this additional journey time, buses will also be revised to omit Eskdale Estate and Sainsburys car park. Service 95 will terminate at the roundabout on the A171 outside of Sainsburys instead. Revised Service 96 (operated by 21 Transport from the same date) will additionally serve Eskdale estate and Church Lane, maintaining bus provision in these areas.

Service 96 Whitby to Lealholmside: This service will no longer be operated by Arriva and will instead be operated by 21 Transport on behalf of North Yorkshire Council, with a revised route and timetable in place.

Services X4/X4A Middlesbrough-Redcar-Loftus-Whitby: We are introducing additional Sunday daytime journeys, operating between Redcar, Loftus, and Whitby, improving the frequency of service up to every 30 minutes, daily, for the duration of the summer. Additionally, a revised timetable will also be in place for Monday to Saturday.

Service X12 Middlesbrough – Durham – Newcastle: A revised timetable will be in place. In addition, due to low demand, the 0727 and 0827 Saturday journeys between Chester Le Street and Durham will be withdrawn.

Services X93/X94 Middlesbrough – Guisborough – Whitby – Scarborough: A revised timetable will be in place, with the usual summer frequency enhancement also starting from this date. Buses will run up to every 30 minutes combined, with additional journeys operating between Whitby and Middlesbrough, with a small number of additional early Sunday morning journeys.

Also, we are pleased to announce that from the same date, we are responding to customer requests for later journeys between Whitby and Scarborough too. A new evening timetable will therefore be in place, offering journeys up to 11pm.
