Changes in Northumberland and Tyne & Wear

We will be making changes to a number of services from Sunday 31st August 2025. These changes come following a sustainability review to our network and contract changes from both Northumberland County Council and Nexus.
Service 43 – Newcastle to Cramlington and Morpeth
We will be making some slight changes to this service to improve punctuality and changes to school contracts we operate within the area.
The current AM/PM school day journeys that terminate at Cramlington Manor Walks will now extend to Bedlington Front Street. The afternoon school day journey commencing from Cramlington will now start at Bedlington at 1546.
Service 44 – Newcastle to Dinnington
A revised timetable will be introduced at peak times on a Monday to Friday to improve punctuality.
Following a sustainability review, the current Monday to Friday 1453 journey from Dinnington to Newcastle will now operate on school holidays only. Additionally, the last departure from Newcastle at 2335 will extend beyond Dinnington through to Wideopen, replacing the 0003 journey on service 45.
Service 45 – Newcastle to Dinnington
A revised timetable will be introduced at peak times on a Monday to Friday to improve punctuality.
Following a sustainability review, the current 0535 departure from Newcastle, will commence from Regent Centre at 0545. The 0805 departure from Newcastle will operate school holidays only, with a new journey departing Wideopen towards Dinnington at 0828 on school days. The daily 0003 journey from Dinnington to Regent Centre will be withdrawn and partially replaced by an extended journey on service 44.
Service 392 – Marden Estate to Benton Park View DSS
A revised timetable will be introduced to improve punctuality.
New Service 448 – Guide Post to Bedlington Station
Arriva will now be the operator for this school day only service following a change of contracts by Northumberland County Council.
Timetable will be unchanged and can be viewed here.
Service 695 – Killingworth to North Gosforth Academy
Following changes to Nexus school services, Arriva will no longer operate this service.
Service X18 – Newcastle to Morpeth, Alnwick, Seahouses and Berwick
Following the end of the six weeks summer holidays, the additional journeys between Alnwick and Berwick which were introduced on a Monday to Friday from the 20th July will be withdrawn. Their will be no other changes to the service.
