New Service 11A - Chester to Deeside College
Via Saltney
Leading bus operator Arriva is launching a new bus service providing better connections between Chester and Deeside College.
The 11A service will start on January 27, 2025.
It will enhance existing Arriva bus routes to better link people with key destinations for shopping, education, work and leisure.
The route will operate up to every hour Monday to Saturdays during the day.
Buses will connect Chester city centre with popular places outside the city, such as Saltney St Davids Retail Park, Queensferry Deeside Leisure Centre and serving the popular Deeside College on Kelsterton Road.
The route combines with the existing 11 service to Holywell – meaning increased frequency to three buses an hour linking Chester with Deeside College.
Arriva North West and Wales head of commercial Adam Marshall said: “We’re really pleased to be able to introduce this new bus route which boosts bus connectivity to more communities in and around Chester.
“The 11A reinforces our dedication to not only boost accessibility to the college for existing customers, but also to attract those who perhaps haven’t used the bus in a while to embrace ways of reducing their carbon footprint
“We’ll be closely monitoring how this new service runs and we’re always open to listening to what our customers say, so we’d encourage them to let us know how they find it.”
