Fare changes across the North East region
From 13th July 2025
We are changing some of our fares across the Northeast from Sunday 13th July 2025 to reflect the latest levels of inflation and increasing costs.
Within these changes only day, week, 4-week and longer tickets will be revised. Single fares will not change, nor will any special or bespoke fare arrangements in place.

We’re also taking the opportunity to reduce the number of ticket products we offer, as part of our ongoing simplification of the ticket range.
The following tickets will be removed from sale and the alternative tickets listed:
- Killingworth Routesaver – the alternative ticket is the Tyne & Wear (day £6 and weekly £27) the day product is also valid on all other bus services in the Tyne & Wear area plus Tyne & Wear Metro services.
- Morpeth Routesaver – the alternative ticket is the TNE All Zone (day £7.50 and weekly £36) the day product is also valid on all other bus services in the Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and County Durham area, plus Tyne & Wear Metro Services.
- Morpeth Town – the alternative is now Northumberland Zone (day £6 and weekly £29) the day ticket is the TNE zonal product that offers travel on other operator’s services, however the weekly does not.
- Service 1 Routesaver – the alternative is now either the Durham Zone (day £5 and weekly £25) the day product is also valid on all other bus services in the County Durham area or Northeast Regionwide (day £10 and £38 weekly) for journeys through to Darlington.
- Service 6 Routesaver – the alternative is now either the Durham Zone (day £5 and weekly £25) the day product is also valid on all other bus services in the County Durham area.
- Service X3/X4/XA Routesaver – the alternative is now Tees Valley Zone (day £8.70 and weekly £32.50 or for passengers travelling locally between Redcar and Saltburn the new Redcar and East Cleveland Zone (day £5.90 and weekly £21.00)
Due to customer feedback, we are extending the Redcar Zone to include Guisborough, Saltburn, New Marske, Saltburn, Skelton, Brotton, Lingdale, Loftus and extend to match the same boundary point of Runswick Bay (as per the Tees Valley Zone). This new/extended zone will offer improved value for passengers who only need to travel within this area.
