Changes to your bus services in High Wycombe Jan 24
From 7th January 2024
We’ve listened to customer feedback and carefully reviewed our network and, from 7th January 2024, we’ll be making changes to your services across High Wycombe. For more information on how these changes will affect you, please see below.
Service 2
Following customer recommendations, we're providing additional early morning journeys from High Wycombe bus station to Booker. We've also made a small number of changes to the timetable to help keep buses running on time.
Service 3
Customers told us that they'd love to see more evening journeys on route 3. We've listened and will now provide hourly departures from the town centre towards Castlefield at 21:00, 22:00 and 23:00, Monday to Saturdays.
Service 4
We're making minor changes to departure times to help customers better transfer between routes at High Wycombe bus station. There's a small change in departure times during Monday to Friday afternoons to help improve our timekeeping. Customers told us that they'd love a connection from Sands Industrial Estate to the town centre in the evenings, so we've added additional evening journeys to help you better connect with the High Wycombe network.
Service 5/5A/6/6A/7/7A
We're bringing DOUBLE the buses to Bourne End on Sundays. Route 5 and 6 will now run on Sundays, meaning there'll be a bus every 30 minutes between High Wycombe and Bourne End. These directly replace route 7A, which'll no longer run. We're also making small adjustments to the timetable to help keep buses running on time
Customers told us that they'd like better access to route 6A, so we'll now be running along Amison Avenue and Bowerdean Road in both directions.
Service 10
We're enhancing the timetable with more early morning commuter journeys and DOUBLE the number of buses on Sundays
Service 11
We're making a small change to the times that buses leave High Wycombe bus station to help improve our timekeeping.
Service 12
We're making minor tweaks to the timetable to help improve our timekeeping.
Service 13
Customers told us that they'd like to see better connections from Totteridge to High Wycombe town centre and rail station in the early morning. So, we ‘ve istened, and we'll be providing two new additional early morning journeys from Totteridge.
We'll also be providing an additional late evening journey on Monday to Saturdays.
Service 800/850/X80
We're making significant adjustments to the timetable to improve our timekeeping.
Route X80 will leave High Wycombe bus station 5 minutes earlier than it does currently to ensure punctual arrivals into Henley College. Buses will now also call at Hart Street, Henley-on-Thames before reaching Henley College.
We've retimed journeys to better suit school arrival and departure times, including an additional journey through Binfield Heath on route 800, which should bring more capacity for those travelling to Marlow (Sir William Borlase's School) and Marlow Hill Schools (Wycombe High and John Hampden). As a direct result of customer feedback, a schooldays only journey on route 800 will divert to Marlow Hill Schools (Stop 2) on its way to Reading, departing there at 15:48.
Service X9/X90
This service replaces service 300/X30.
