Better Bus Connections for Milton Keynes
from 22 February 2026
From 22 February 2026 we’ll be making a number of timetable and route changes across our bus network to improve reliability, better reflect current travel patterns and help services run on time, particularly during busy traffic periods.
2 Newport Pagnell to Grange Farm
We’re making a small change to some journeys to help buses stay on time, particularly during busy traffic periods. The aim is to improve reliability while keeping your usual travel patterns as close to normal as possible.
Some daytime buses will now run directly along Wolverton Road between Newport Pagnell and Milton Keynes. Poets Estate will still be well served:
• Every 30 minutes during the morning peak into Milton Keynes city centre
• Hourly during the daytime
• Every 30 minutes during the evening peak on return journeys from the city centre towards Newport Pagnell
The section between Green Park, Grange Farm and Whitehouse will continue to run every 30 minutes, just as it does now. This frequency will also apply on Saturdays, with Sunday services remaining hourly throughout the route.
By making these changes, we’ve been able to build extra time into the timetable to help services run more smoothly.
3/3S Milton Keynes to Magna Park
We’ve updated the timetable to improve reliability and better reflect how customers use these services.
There’s also a new late-evening journey at 22:45 from Magna Park, timed to better match shift finish times at the H&M Distribution Centre.
Service 3S will now take a faster route between Milton Keynes and Kingston, following the normal Service 3 route before running directly to Walnut High School. Willen will no longer be served by Service 3S.
4/4S Wolverton to Bletchley through Milton Keynes
We’ve refreshed the timetable to improve punctuality and make journeys more reliable.
We’re also introducing new Service 4S, which departs Bletchley at 08:00, heading through West Bletchley, before continuing to Woughton Campus (for MK College and St Paul’s School). The bus continues to Springfield and Milton Keynes city centre but will not serve Milton Keynes Hospital.
This service is open to everyone. A return journey also runs, timed to meet the end of the St Paul’s school day.
5/6 Wolverton to Bletchley and Lakes Estate
The timetable has been updated to reflect changing traffic conditions and help you arrive on time.
At weekends, services 5 and 6 combine to provide buses up to every 15 minutes, giving you a frequent and convenient Saturday and Sunday service.
7/7S Wolverton to Milton Keynes
We’ve made timetable changes to improve reliability and keep buses running on time.
From Monday to Saturday evenings, buses will run between Milton Keynes city centre and New Bradville (Marlborough Roundabout).
We’re also introducing new Service 7S, departing Wolverton at 07:53, running to Milton Keynes city centre, then on to Woughton Campus (MK College and St Paul’s School).
This service is open to everyone, with a return journey timed for the end of the St Paul’s school day.
8 Wavendon Gate to Westcroft and Oxley Park
The timetable has been revised to improve punctuality and provide a more dependable service throughout the day.
Loop - around south Milton Keynes
Following customer feedback and to improve reliability, we’ve made several changes to Loop service.
• Buses will once again serve Stadium MK and Saxon Street - Granby at MK One Shopping Park will no longer be served
• On Saturdays, Loop will operate between Bletchley and Woburn Sands only. Customers for Stadium MK should change at Bletchley bus station onto routes 5/6 or X2/X3.
A revised timetable is also being introduced to better match shift times at Magna Park and improve overall punctuality.
M5/M6 FAST to Magna Park from Wolverton or Bletchley
Due to changes in travel patterns, services M5 and M6 will stop running from 22 February.
Customers are encouraged to use service 3 and the Loop, which will continue to provide links between Magna Park, Milton Keynes city centre and beyond.
We’ll be providing extra capacity on these services to support customers previously using the M5 and M6.
X4 Leighton Buzzard to Aylesbury
Service X4 will now operate between Leighton Buzzard town centre, rail station, Southcourt Road to Wing, Kingsbrook and Aylesbury. Sandhills and Roman Gate will no longer be served.
We’ve long wished to restore buses into the heart of Leighton Buzzard town centre, so following consultation with the local authority and town council, we’re pleased to restore buses back into Leighton Buzzard High Street. Whilst the market is open, buses will use West Street - returning to High Street when the road reopens.
In Kingsbrook, buses will use Armstrong Fields towards Leighton Buzzard, making it easier to reach nearby stops.
One journey per day will continue to serve Heath and Reach to Aylesbury schools, departing around five minutes earlier than currently and will operate through High Street, the Rail Station, Southcourt Road and Wing Road when leaving the town.
X6 Aylesbury to Milton Keynes
An additional journey has been added to match the end of the Buckingham School day, following customer requests.
The timetable has been revised, with buses running at new times to improve punctuality.
One return journey per school day will operate via Oving, North Marston and Granborough, providing links to schools in Winslow and Buckingham.
Some later evening journeys between Aylesbury and Buckingham will no longer run, as these have been replaced by services funded by Buckinghamshire Council. Further details can be found on the council’s website.
X14 Aylesbury to Milton Keynes FAST
All X14 journeys will now depart from The Point, Stand H3.
Timings have been updated to better match demand on this growing service, so buses will run at slightly different times than before.
In Kingsbrook, buses will use Armstrong Fields towards Leighton Buzzard, improving access to bus stops for local residents.
