Revisions to our Leicestershire network for August 2026
Today
We’ll be making changes to some of our services across Leicestershire from 22 August 2026, with most focused on improving punctuality through revised timetables, while some routes are being altered or reduced to better match customer demand.
Key changes include route amendments on services 8, 127, LC14, LC16 and X6, with service 8 no longer serving Hinckley Park and selected journeys instead operating via Far Lash or Three Pots. Service X6 will become a faster, more direct Leicester–Coventry service that no longer serves Hinckley town centre but will now call at Walsgrave Parkway.
Several services, including 11, 15, 16/16A/X16, 31, 56/56A, 127, X45 and X3, will have revised timetables to improve reliability, with some early morning journeys on routes 44/44A and 84/85 departing earlier.
Services 12 and parts of 29A are being reduced due to low demand, with Saturday route 12 withdrawn and Saturday 29A journeys operating only between Leicester and Coalville.
Other changes include revised routes in Loughborough on service 127, extensions to selected LC16 and X84 journeys.

Journeys will no longer run via Hinckley Park, following the end of the contract.
Some journeys will now run via Far Lash (Brookside, Far Lash, Forresters Road), or Three Pots (Three Pots Road, Herald Way, Sketchley Lane, Greenmoor Road).
For Far Lash (Monday to Friday only)
From Lutterworth, the 0900, 1100 and 1300 journeys will run via Far Lash
From Hinckley, the 0900, 1100, 1300 and 1715 journeys will run via Far Lash
For Three Pots
Monday to Saturday - From Lutterworth, the 1000, 1200 and 1400 will run via Three Pots
Monday to Friday - From Hinckley, the 1000, 1200, 1400 and 1715 journeys will run via Three Pots
Saturday - From Hinckley, the 1100, 1300 and 1500 will run via Three Pots
Journeys on Saturday will leave at slightly different times than they do currently. There are no changes to route or frequency.
Journeys on Saturday will no longer run due to low customer demand. There is no change to weekday route or timetable. Leicestershire County Council are looking at potential options for Saturdays, and we will update you when we know more.

16, 16A, X16 Loughborough to Coalville
Some journeys will run at slightly different times to improve punctuality.
29A Leicester to Ashby-de-la-Zouch
We’re making some changes to reflect lower customer usage.
The Monday to Saturday 2350 Leicester to Coalville journey will no longer run.
On Saturdays, service 29A trips will run between Leicester & Coalville only - for customers wishing to go to & from Ashby, please use service 29.
A refreshed timetable will be in place to improve punctuality - no change to route or frequency.
On weekdays, the service 44 trip at 0610 from Wigston to Leicester will leave at 0555 and run at new times throughout, to offer an earlier arrival at LRI.
The 44A trip at 0557 from Wigston Cranes Way will now leave 15 minutes earlier.
56, 56A Scraptoft to Leicester
A refreshed timetable will be in place to improve punctuality - no change to route or frequency.
84, 85 Leicester to Lutterworth or Countesthorpe & 87 Leicester to Countesthorpe
On weekdays, the 0620 service 84 from Leicester will leave at 0615 and run 5 minutes earlier.
The 0635 service 85 from Leicester will leave at 0630 and run 5 minutes earlier. On arrival at Countesthorpe, it will continue as a new trip on route 87 to South Wigston.
A refreshed timetable will be in place to improve punctuality – there’s no change to frequency.
For Loughborough town centre journeys, buses towards Leicester will now follow a new route around Loughborough to get customers right into the heart of the town centre. Buses will run via Ashby Road, Frederick Street, Browns Lane, Woodgate, High St and serve Baxter Gate stop BD. Greenclose Lane, Bridge St, Fennel St and Lymington St will not be served in this direction. There is no change of route within Loughborough town centre towards Shepshed.
Buses will now run directly along Alan Moss Road and over Thorpe Hill in Loughborough, giving scholars a better link to Charnwood College and DeLisle Academy and avoiding issues with parked cars on Blackbrook Road. Additionally, Garendon Road, Garendon Green and Blackbrook Road will no long be served in either direction.
Working with the local authority following feedback, buses will run via Leicester Road & Hinckley Road and will also now serve Sapcote Caravan Park.
This route will no longer to serve the following roads in Sapcote due to low usage: Grace Road, Sapcote Road, Stanton Road, Spa Drive and Frewen Drive.
LC16 Ashby to Loughborough, via Shepshed
We’re making changes to offer links to students studying in Loughborough.
On weekday mornings, the 0655 Ashby to Loughborough will now start Measham at 0640 and Moira at 0648.
On weekday afternoons, the 1530 Loughborough to Ashby will continue to Moira and Measham.
X3 Leicester to Market Harborough
There will some small revision to early evening journey times.
X6 FAST between Coventry and Leicester
This service will now be quicker and easier to understand. All journeys will now run one consistent, fast and direct route between Leicester & Coventry via Burbage Three Pots.
The route will now also serve Walsgrave Parkway in Coventry, offering customers opportunity to take advantage of the leisure activities and work opportunities in the area.
There is a refreshed timetable with extra journeys across the whole week to reflect increasing customer usage.
Journeys will no longer run via Hinckley town centre. Customers for Leicester can use service 158, Fosse Park can use LC14 and in Coventry will need to use alternative transport providers.

Following requests from customers, the weekdays 1745 Rugby to Lutterworth journey will now continue to Leicester.
