Service 110 is Changing

From 25th October, the current 110 route will be split into two services. Please see below for further information.

New service 110 – Wakefield to Leeds

The Wakefield to Leeds section will continue to run as service 110 up to every 10 minutes.

Here is the new timetable.

New service 106 – Hall Green to Wakefield

The Hall Green to Wakefield section will run as new service 106 up to every 15 minutes.

From Sandal into Wakefield, the new 106 service will coordinate with the 195/196 services to provide a bus every 7/8 minutes throughout Monday to Saturday daytimes.

Most journeys on new service 106 will serve Hall Green, and we’ll still serve ASDA.

Here is the new timetable.

Why are these changes being made?

Bus companies across West Yorkshire have suffered in recent weeks from the UK-wide driver shortage. This has resulted in some journey cancellations across our network.

We don’t like to advertise a service we cannot deliver, and so regrettably we have reached a difficult decision to slightly downsize our bus network to allow us time to recruit and train new drivers.

As part of this, service 110 is being split into two services. This is being done to allow us to reduce the frequency across parts of the route to better match demand, whilst maintaining the availability of a connection through a change of buses at Wakefield Bus Station.

This will help us deliver a more resilient service for our customers.

What other changes are there?

We’ve updated our Network Map too so you can find what route is best for you.
