Improvements to the Tamworth bus network from October 26

We’re making a number of improvements to Tamworth’s bus network, from Saturday 31 October.
Service 2 Tamworth to Gillway and Perry Crofts
There will be some updates to the timetable on weekday evenings, on Saturday mornings and on Sundays to reflect changes in customer movements and help keep your bus on time.
Service 3 Tamworth to Coton Green
There will be some updates to the timetables on weekday mornings to reflect changes in customer movements and help keep your bus on time.
Services 4 Tamworth to Silverlink
Leyland Road and Silver Link Road will be incorporated into improved services 5 and 6, replacing service 4. See below for further details.
Service 5 will be extended to serve Marlborough Way and Silver Link, providing the estate with new links to Amington and Kerria seven days per week. Buses will run every 15 minutes Monday to Friday, every 20 minutes on Saturdays and hourly on Sundays.
Amington Garden Village will continue to be served during peak periods, with off-peak journeys provided by new service 9. Please see below for more details.
6 Tamworth to Nuneaton
Service 6 will now serve Leyland Road in Tamworth, providing the area with new links to Polesworth and Nuneaton, as well as a direct link to Ventura Park.
Dunstall Park will be served by an enhanced service 765, see below for more information.
Services 7 (7A/7E) Tamworth to Stonydelph
There will be changes to the evening timetable to better connect with other services within Tamworth.

Service 9 Tamworth and Amington Garden Village
This new route will connect Amington Garden Village with Tamworth town centre, running along Mercian Way, Tamworth Road and Amington Road between 09:30 and 15:30 Monday to Saturday.
Service 10 Tamworth to Ventura Park
This service will be incorporated into an improved service 765, see below for full details.
Services 765 & X65 Tamworth to Lichfield
Service 765 will be increased to operate up to every hour Monday to Saturday, and will now serve Ventura Park and Dunstall Park within Tamworth, giving Lichfield and Whittington a direct, regular connection to Ventura Park following customer requests.
As part of these changes, service 765 will now depart from Victoria Road rather than Corporation Street, meaning that customers on both sides of Tamworth have a regular service to both Ventura Park and Lichfield.
Journeys serving King Edward VI School in Lichfield will continue to operate through Wittington Barracks, with all other journeys running directly along Common Lane to Whittington Village. Service X65 offers an alternative connection to both Lichfield and Tamworth from the Barracks Museum.
There will also be minor adjustments to service X65’s timetable, with most journeys departing 5 minutes later than current giving a more coordinated frequency between Lichfield and Tamworth with buses running up to every 15 minutes.
We’re also introducing a new Sunday service between Tamworth and Lichfield, with the X65 now running up to every hour providing new connections for customers to enjoy all that Tamworth and Lichfield have to offer across the weekend.
