Changes to services in Telford and Wrekin from October 2026

From Saturday 31 October, several services in Telford and Wrekin are being revised to better reflect customer demand and offer improved connections with the Princess Royal Hospital. Services affected include:

Services 1 & 2 Telford to Sutton Hill

All buses between Telford, Malinslee, Dawley, Aqueduct, Madeley and Sutton Hill will run as service 1, in both directions of travel. Buses will run every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sundays.

Buses will run directly along Castlefields Way between Aqueduct and Madeley, with service 4 continuing to operate through Woodside every 12 minutes.

On school days, certain journeys will run as service 1A along Woodside Avenue to maintain existing connections to Abraham Darby School and the Telford Langley School. Customers who wish to travel directly between Sutton Hill and Woodside outside of school times can continue to use service 100.

Services 3, 3A Telford to Brookside

Services 3, 3A and 13 will be incorporated into one improved service 3 which will operate every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sundays, between Brookside, Stichley, Randlay, Hollinswood and Telford.

Service 4 Leegomery to Madeley

Service 4 will operate at a 12-minute frequency all day Monday to Saturday, to better match customer demand.

On Sundays, all journeys from Leegomery or Madeley will terminate at Telford Bus Station. Customers can continue to travel across town by changing at the Bus Station, with buses scheduled to provide convenient connections for onward travel and through ticketing available.

Services 5 & 5A Telford to Newport and Stafford

Following customer feedback, evening departures from Stafford have been altered to match commuter train arrivals from Birmingham and London where possible.

Service 7 Wellington to Telford

Most journeys on service 7 will be extended beyond Wellington to the Princess Royal Hospital, restoring a regular connection to the Hospital for customers in Donnington, Trench and Hadley.

Service 8 Telford to Bridgnorth or Much Wenlock

The 14:40 journey from Bridgnorth will now operate 10 minutes later to meet the new finish time for Abraham Darby School.
