Revisions to services in Telford Oct 26

From Saturday 31 October, there will be some revisions to some services in Telford & Wrekin. Services 1 & 2 Telford to Sutton Hill Service 1 will no longer operate as a circular, but instead in both directions between Telford, Malinslee, Dawley, Aqueduct, Madeley and Sutton Hill. Buses will run every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday (every 30 minutes on Sundays). Bridgnorth Road and Brookside will be removed from the route due to low usage. Woodside will also be removed from the route due to low usage outside of school times. School movements to and from Woodside will be covered by Route 1A that will operate three times daily in each direction. Customers who wish to travel directly between Sutton Hill and Woodside outside of school times can continue to use service 100. Service 2 will be withdrawn as part of these changes. Services 3, 3A Telford to Brookside Service 13 Hollinswood Circular The above routes will be combined into one single service 3, operating every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday (every 30 minutes on Sundays) between Brookside, Stichley, Randlay, Hollinswood and Telford. Service 4 Leegomery to Madeley Service 4 will operate a core 12-minute frequency all day Monday to Saturday to reflect lower passenger usage. On Sundays, service 4 will not operate as a cross-town service, with all journeys terminating at Telford Bus Station. This reflects customer movements on Sundays, which sees very few cross-town journeys made. Any customers that wish to travel cross town can still do so by changing at Telford Bus Station – there is sufficient time between buses arriving from one side before departing to the other. Services 5 & 5A Telford to Newport and Stafford Following customer feedback, we have slightly adjusted the evening departures from Stafford to match commuter train arrivals from Birmingham and London where possible. Service 7 Wellington to Telford We are delighted to announce that we are extending service 7 to Princess Royal Hospital on Monday to Saturdays. Other than some early morning and late evening journeys, all journeys will continue on from Wellington to PRH. This restores a regular connection for customers in Donnington, Trench and Hadley to the Hospital. Service 8 Telford to Bridgnorth or Much Wenlock The 14:40 journey from Bridgnorth will now operate 10 minutes later to meet the new finish time for Abraham Darby School. |
