North Wales Service Changes
January 2024
We have been reviewing our timetables since the introduction of the 20mph speed restriction, following this review we are now able to make a number of changes to our network across North Wales in January.

Sunday 7th January 2024
From the 7th January the following changes will be made to services in Anglesey, Gwynedd and Conwy.
Services 4, 4a, 4l and x4, Bangor to Llangefni and Holyhead
We will be adding an additional bus into the timetable to enable more time to be given to journeys, to ensure the service can run more reliably. Timetable will be revised but there will be no change to the frequencies.
Services 5, 5c and 5d, Llandudno to Bangor and Caernarfon
We will be adding an additional bus into the timetable to enable more time to be given to journeys, ensuring the service can run more reliably. Timetable will be revised but there will be no change to the frequencies.
Service 12, Llandudno to Rhyl (from 14th January)
We will be adding time to peak journeys, to ensure the service can run more reliably. Timetable will be revised but there will be no change to the frequencies.
Service 13, Llandudno to Prestatyn
Monday to Saturday frequency will be reduced to operate hourly with additional time to be given to each journey to ensure the service can run more reliably. Service will also be re-routed and will no longer call into Llandudno Junction Train Station. Journeys that currently serve Lysfaen will also be re-routed to remain on A547 no longer serving Lysfaen.
Services 14 and 15, Llandudno to Llysfaen
Route will be revised
- Journeys will start/finish at Glyndwr Road not Old Terminus
- In Rhos-on-Sea services will use Penrhyn Avenue to Rhos Promenade, no longer using Elwy Road
- In Colwyn Bay services will no longer serve Bryn Y Bia Road, instead remaining on Colwyn Road.

Service 23, Tan Lan to Colwyn Bay
Additional school holiday journey introduced at 7.45am from Colwyn Bay train station.
Service 24, Llandudno to Eglwysbach
Additional school holiday journey introduced at 7.05am from Llandudno Builder Street.
Service 27, Tan Lan to Conwy
Additional time given to morning journeys to improve reliability.
Services 58, 58l and 58p, Bangor to Beamauris / Glanyarfon
Monday to Saturday frequency will be reduced to operate every 75 minutes with additional time to be given to each journey to ensure the service can run more reliably. Sunday will also be revised.
Services 62 and 62c, Bangor to Amlwch
We will be adding an additional bus into the timetable to enable more time to be given to journeys, ensuring the service can run more reliably. Timetable will be revised but there will be no change to the frequencies.
Services 67c, 67g and 67l, Bangor to Bethesda / Gerlan
Service will no longer operate to Gerlan, journeys on 67g will be re-numbered 67c or 67l to Bethesda, timetable revised.
Services 78 and 78a, Bangor to Maesgeirchen
We are please to announce that we have been able to increase the Sunday frequency to operate every 30 minutes.
Service 562, Bangor to Valley College
Timetable will be revised.
Sunday 14th January 2024
From the 14th January the following changes will be made to services in Denbighshire.
Services 11, 11c, 11f and 11m, Rhyl to Chester
We will be adding time to peak journeys, to ensure the service can run more reliably. Timetable will be revised but there will be no change to the frequencies.
Service 12, Rhyl to Llandudno
We will be adding time to peak journeys, to ensure the service can run more reliably. Timetable will be revised but there will be no change to the frequencies.
Services 35 and 36, Rhyl Circulars
Timetable will be revised but there will be no change to the frequencies.

Services 51 and x51, Rhyl to Wrexham
Service 51 will no longer call into Tweadmill Shopping Outlet, on service x51 Llandegla will no longer be served, instead service will remain on A525. Timetable will be revised but there will be no change to the frequencies.

Service 83 and 84a, Rhyl Circulars
Timetable will be revised but there will be no change to the frequencies.
Sunday 21st January 2024
From the 21st January the following changes will be made to services in Chester and Flintshire.
Service 3, Chester to Broughton
Service will be re-routed in Chester to operate via Grosvenor Street in both directions not Handbridge.
Services 4, 4b and X4 Chester to Mold
Services 4 and 4b - We will be adding an additional bus into the timetable to enable more time to be given to journeys, ensuring the service can run more reliably. Timetable will be revised but there will be no change to the frequencies.
Service x4 – Some journeys will be revised to coordinate with changes to services 4 and 4b.
Service 5, Mold to Ellesmere Port
Frequency will be reduced to operate every 75 minutes with additional time to be given to each journey to ensure the service can run more reliably.
Services 10 and 10a, Chester to Flint
Timetable will be revised, no changes to frequency.
Services 11, 11c, 11f and 11m, Chester to Rhyl
