Young people aged 21 or under £1 single and £3* all day tickets
From 16th June 2024, young people aged 21 or under can travel on buses in Tees Valley for £1 single and £3* all day.
The Tees Valley 21 & Under £1 single ticket, and the £3 day ticket will be valid all day on eligible local bus services within the Tees Valley area, for people aged 21 and under (5-21 years of age). Journeys must typically start and finish within the Tees Valley area, however, there are some cross boundary service exceptions for each ticketing type. These are identified in the table below:

All services operating wholly within the Tees Valley region.
Direct journeys on North East Combined Authority cross boundary services 1, 5, 7, 8, X12, X22, X75, X76, 23, 24 and 58, providing the journey starts or ends in Tees Valley.
Direct journeys on North Yorkshire Council cross boundary services X4/X4A as far as Runswick Bay, 28A within Great Ayton and Stokesley and service X93/X94 as far as Scaling Dam providing the journey starts in Tees Valley.
Services eligible for the £3 day ticket
All services operating wholly within the Tees Valley region.
Direct journeys on North East Combined Authority cross boundary services 1, 5, 7, 8, X12, X22, X75, X76, 23, 24 and 58, providing the journey starts or ends in Tees Valley.
Upon request, passengers must provide a valid form of ID to the to the driver, valid ID is defined as…
• a Passport (UK or International);
• a proof of age card with a PASS Logo (e.g. a CitizenCard);
• a driving license or provisional driving license (UK or EU);
• EU national identity card;
• NHS Medical Card;
• an Arriva Teen Card.
If you are travelling in school uniform, or travelling to and from school or college on dedicated services you will not be asked to show ID
