Improving our services in Chaddesden
from 3 January 2026
Following the announcement of the closure of Oakwood Surgery on Wayfaring Road, we’re making a small improvement to the network in Chaddesden to offer residents a link from Oakwood to Chaddesden Surgery on Maine Drive. Additionally, we’ll be making some further revisions to reflect customer usage.

20/21 Derby to Spondon
We’re improving the routing for service 20. Buses will now run via Chaddesden Park Road, Max Road and Wood Road instead of Reginald Road South.
Additionally, to match growing customer demand, all trips will now run as Service 20, up to every 30 minutes. We’ve seen significant uptake on Sandringham Drive and Sandcroft Road loop on service 20. The Arnham Terrace area on route 21 is less well used and has ample coverage by other operators.
26 Derby to Oakwood
We’re improving the routing for service 26. Service 26 will now run via Reginald Road South and Chaddesden Lane, instead of Chaddesden Park Road & Max Road.
This revision allows route 26 to provide a link from Oakwood to Chaddesden Surgery.
