Changes to your Yorkshire network

From 26th July 2021

Some exciting changes are coming to our network of services across Yorkshire from 26th July 2021.

There will be changes to some routes and timetables, more frequent services to popular destinations and some new destinations served – including some brand-new routes too.

In our recent surveys we’ve asked our customers what we can do differently to improve your bus services. Following this feedback, and the feedback our customers have shared with our customer services team, we’re making some changes to the network to better reflect changes in travel patterns and demand. We’re also reacting to some suggestions by trialling some new routes in the area.

Highlights include:

  • More direct journeys between Pontefract, Junction 32, Castleford and Leeds
  • Peak-time express services to Leeds from the new City Fields development and Normanton
  • New connections with the University of Leeds from Kippax and Castleford, and from Stanley and Normanton
  • A better co-ordinated 444 and 446 with up to 4 journeys per hour through the centre of Rothwell
  • Better connections with the railway with more buses serving Outwood Railway Station and Woodlesford Railway Station
  • More buses to places of work including Wakefield’s Calder Park, Wakefield 41 Business Park and Sherburn Industrial Estate
  • New services to new destinations including Newmillerdam and Yorkshire Sculpture Park
