Improvements to our services in Tamworth

From 29 August 2026 there will be changes to some services in Tamworth. Service 6 will gain an additional morning journey between Tamworth and Dunstall Park on weekdays and Saturdays. Service 8 will follow a temporary diversion during school peak times towards Hockley to avoid delays caused by parked cars, while journeys towards Tamworth remain unchanged. Service 10 will now run directly between Victoria Road and Ventura Park every 30 minutes to improve reliability. There are also changes to Warwickshire County Council supported services 65A, 76B and 785/786. For full details take a look below: 6 Tamworth to Nuneaton Following customer feedback, there will be an additional morning journey between Tamworth and Dunstall Park. This will depart Corporation Street at 09:02 Monday to Friday, and 08:55 on Saturdays. 8 Tamworth to Hockley Due to challenges faced by parked cars at school times, service 8 will no longer serve Wilnecote Lane in Belgrave, towards Hockley, between 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm. Buses will instead operate along Marlborough Way, before turning left into Belgrave at Morrisons and serving Birds Bush Road as normal. Journeys towards Tamworth are unchanged 10 Tamworth Town Centre to Ventura Park To improve reliability, service 10 will no longer serve Tamworth Station or Corporation Street. Buses will instead operate directly between Victoria Road and Ventura Park every 30 minutes. 65A This service will be withdrawn following the end of a Warwickshire Council tender 76B Tamworth to Kingsbury and Hurley Arriva Midlands are pleased to announce that we will operate service 76B on Sundays and Bank Holidays, connecting Tamworth to Kingsbury and Hurley. 785 & 786 Tamworth to Austrey Arriva Midlands are pleased to announce that we will now operate this service on Sundays and Bank Holidays, providing greater links to Tamworth for customers in Polesworth, Austrey and Shuttington. Routes 785 & 786 will be operated on Monday to Saturday by another operator. |
