This zone broadly allows for unlimited travel on any Arriva service within Durham City and local surrounding area (with travel permitted from Tow Law, Crook, Bishop Auckland, Shildon, Chilton, Ferryhill, Sedgefield, Trimdon, Deaf Hill, Wheatley Hill and Chester-le-Street).
Durham Uni Plus Zone
Encapsulating all of the Durham Uni Zone above, plus additionally including travel on Service X12 to/from Newcastle, Gateshead and Birtley, Services 22/23/24 from Sunderland, Peterlee and Hartlepool, Services X12/X22 from Stockton and Middlesbrough and also travel into Darlington from County Durham.
How do I buy a ticket?
Buy Day and Weekly tickets from your bus driver. Simply show the driver your ID card from the when you board the bus and pay in cash or by contactless. Buy tickets for one week and longer periods online or through our Arriva UK Bus app. You must have your ID card (along with a valid ticket) whenever you travel and be prepared to show the driver as you board.
