Diversions are in place on the 61 because of roadworks on Peelhouse Lane. Diversion will be via Deacon Road, Kingsway & Birchfield Road in both directions.

Diversion on the 61, 78, 79 & 79C - Wavertree Road
Wavertree Road will be closed, between Irvine Street and Durning Road, from 0730 to 1700 on Tuesday 4 August; Tuesday 11 August; and Wednesday 12 August 2026.

From Monday 20th April for approximately 6 months, services will be unable to serve Albert Road in Widnes due to the pedestrianisation works.
For the duration of these works services will divert via Marzahn Way onto Peelhouse Lane and resuming normal route towards Liverpool.
Journeys towards Runcorn are unaffected.
