Diversion on the 3A, 86A & X4 - Speke Boulevard
On Friday 23rd October 2026 until Sunday 25th October 2026, Speke Boulevard will be closed in an easterly direction only from 19:00hrs until 05:00hrs next morning from the junction of Woodend Avenue to the Higher Road Bridge.
Service 3A
• From Liverpool John Lennon Airport as normal to Speke Boulevard, then Woodend Avenue, Hillfoot Avenue, Higher Road, Baileys Lane, Church Road then resume normal route to Huyton Industrial Estate.
Service 86A
• 04:40hrs journey from Woodend Avenue Gaskill Road, continue onto Western Avenue, Hale Road, Liverpool John Lennon Airport internal roads, then resume normal route to Liverpool One Bus Station.
Service X4
• From Liverpool One Bus Station as normal to Speke Boulevard, then Woodend Avenue, Hillfoot Avenue, Higher Road to Speke Road and resume normal route to Southwood Avenue.
Diversion on the X4
Diversions are in place on the X4 because of a road closure at the junction of Woodend Ave/Western Ave Speke Boulevard in both directions. Services will be diverted via Ditton Rd, Hale Rd, Western Ave in both directions.
Diversion on the 61 & 79C - Moughland Lane & Clifton Road
Resurfacing works at the crossroad of Moughland Lane & Clifton Road from Sunday 25th to Wednesday 28th October from 0930 – 1730 each day. Diversions as follows -
Sunday 25th - Full closure at the crossroads. No services between Handforth Lane to Runcorn High Street. Diverting via Grangeway, Festival way & Heath Road in both directions.
Omits Clifton Road, Moughland Lane, Greenway Road & Runcorn Station.
Monday 26th - Closure on Moughland Lane side. Normal service as far as the crossroads, then diverting via Heath Road into Runcorn High Street in both directions

Tuesday 27th - Closure on Clifton Road side. Normal service to Halton Lodge, then diverting via Grangeway, Festival Way, Heath Road and back on route at Moughland Lane in both directions

Diversion on the X30
Diversions are in place on the X30 because of roadworks. Exit the bus station via Scotland Road, left onto Buttermarket Street (TEMP BUS STOP) follow the road onto Dial Steet to the roundabout, 3rd exit onto Mersey street follow the road to Bridgefoot. Back on route.
Diversion on the 61
Diversions are in place on the 61 because of a road closure on Tarbock Road from 12th October 2026 to 23rd January 2027 from 1900 - 0500 each night.
Diverting via Hall Lane, Wood Lane, Greenes Road between Windy Arbour Road & Huyton in both directions.
Diversion on the 7 & 61 - Tarbock Island roundabout
Tarbock Island, at Windy Arbor Road; Knowsley Expressway and Cronton Road, will be closed from Monday 12 October 2026 for approximately 104 nights, between 1900 and 0500 each night.

Please be aware due to roadworks setting up on Westfield Road and closing the road the 3A and 3C cannot serve both Westfield Road and Russell Road. The bus is serving Penn Lane as Normal but operating via Weston Road onto Sandy Lane until further notice.
