Diversions are in place on the 79C because of roadworks on Netherley Road between 08:00 - 18:00 each day from Monday 13th to Friday 17th July
Diverting between Arley Drive and Childwall Valley Road (in both directions) Via Naylors road, Hough Green Road, Cronton Road, Tarbock Road, Wheathill Road & Naylors Road
Omits Netherley Road, part of Hough Green Road and part of Childwall Valley
Diversion on the 79C
Netherley Road, between Greensbridge Lane and Water Lane, will be closed from Monday 13 July 2026 for approximately 5 days, between 0800 and 1800 each day.
Bus diversions are as follows:
Service 79C
From Liverpool will be as normal route to Childwall Valley Road, then via Naylors Road, Wheathill Road, Tarbock Road, Cronton Road, Chapel Lane, Prescot Road, Hough Green Road, Arley Drive, Hough Green Road, then as normal route to Murdishaw. (Omits section of Childwall Valley Road, Caldway Drive and Netherley Road).
Alternative bus stop: Childwall Valley Road, opposite Runton Road and Hough Green Road, near Afton.
From Murdishaw will be as normal route Arley Drive, then via Hough Green Road, Prescot Road, Chapel Lane, Cronton Road, Tarbock Road, Wheathill Road, Naylors Road, Childwall Valley Road, then as normal route to Liverpool. (Omits section of Hough Green Road, Netherley Road and section of Childwall Valley Road).
Alternative bus stop: Hough Green Road, opposite Afton and Childwall Valley Road, near Runton Road.
Diversion on the 61 - Albert Road (Widnes)
From Monday 20th April for approximately 6 months, services will be unable to serve Albert Road in Widnes due to the pedestrianisation works.
For the duration of these works services will divert via Marzahn Way onto Peelhouse Lane and resuming normal route towards Liverpool.
Journeys towards Runcorn are unaffected.

Diversions are still in place on the 79C because of roadworks on Netherley Road. The closure until 18:00 has not been lifted and this service will continue on diversion until further notice
