A market town known for its rich railway heritage, Newton-le-Willows lies halfway between Manchester and Liverpool. A town of two centres, the old centre of Newton is filled with local shops and beautiful Georgian buildings. Meanwhile, the second town centre can be found in Earlestown. Developed during the Industrial Revolution, the area has a shopping centre and several popular high-street names. Newton-le-Willows is also famous as the home of pop singer Rick Astley.
