Revisions in the Wigston and Countesthorpe area

From 11 April 2026 we’ll be making revisions to services in the Wigston and Countesthorpe area. These better reflect customer usage, expand your routes to provide new links with support from local authorities, and help you get where you need to be on time.

New timetables will appear on the links below as soon as they're available.

31/31A/X31 Leicester to Oadby
There will be a very minor change to the 0653 Oadby to Leicester weekday journey times for service 31.

44/44A Leicester to South Wigston and Wigston Magna
Service 44 journeys will now run via LRI and extend beyond South Wigston to & from Little Hill and Wigston shops.
Service 44A journeys will extend beyond Wigston shops to & from The Meadows, Newton Lane, Clayhill Field, Guthlaxton Way, Foston Gate, Welford Road, Kilby & Fleckney.

44B Leicester to Kibworth
This new service will run on the same route as 44A between Leicester city centre and Clayhill Field, before continuing to & from Wistow Maze and Kibworth.

44S Leicester to Kibworth
New route running on Sundays connecting Leicester city centre, Knighton, Wigston Fields, South Wigston, Little Hill, Wigston shops, The Meadows, Clayhill Field, Kilby, Fleckney and Kibworth.

47/48 Leicester to South Wigston and Wigston Magna
These services will now run a faster way between South Wigston and Wigston shops, using Moat St and Station Road, helping provide quicker journeys and getting you where you need to be on time.

If you travel to & from Little Hill, please use services 44 and 44S.
If you travel to & from The Meadows, please use services 44A, 44B and 44S.

49 Leicester to Fleckney
If you travel to & from Kilby and Fleckney, please use services 44A and 44S, and if you travel to & from Welford Road, please can use services 47 & 48. These replace service 49.

84/85 Leicester to Lutterworth or South Wigston
Service 85 will run as normal between Leicester city centre and Countesthorpe Square. From here, alternate journeys will continue to & from South Wigston as route 87. You can then stay on the bus towards Fosse Park – see details below.

87 Leicester to Eyres Monsell
Working with Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council, we are proud to announce new links from Blaby, Countesthorpe and South Wigston to & from Fosse Park, as well as some earlier and later trips, and new connections to Countesthorpe Academy.

Buses will run as normal between Leicester city centre and Glenhills Way. From here the service will serve Fosse Park, Eyres Monsell, South Wigston and Countesthorpe. At Countesthorpe, buses will turn into route 85. You can stay on the bus towards Blaby.
