New buses coming to Yorkshire
Arriving December 2025 and January 2026
50 brand-new buses are joining the Arriva Yorkshire fleet, bringing a major upgrade to your bus journeys.
These new vehicles will replace some of our oldest buses and will operate on several key routes, including the X10 and 110 in Wakefield and the 164 and165 in Castleford.
This £15 million investment highlights our ongoing commitment to making bus travel better for the communities we serve.
You’ll start seeing the new vehicles on the road very soon with 25 going into service in late December and the remaining arriving in January 2026.
Jeff Counsell, Arriva Yorkshire operations director, said: “We know how important reliable, comfortable bus services are to our customers.
“These new vehicles represent a significant step forward. It’s a major investment in the Wakefield and Castlefield networks and one that will improve journeys for thousands of people.”
