Fare changes within North East Combined Authority

We’d like to let you know about some upcoming fare changes within the North-East Combined Authority area, which will take effect from 1st April 2026.

Adult Day Ticket Updates

• Durham Adult Day - currently £5.00 will increase to £6.00
• Northumberland Adult Day - no change, remaining at £6.00
• Tyne & Wear Adult Day - Ticket will be withdrawn
• TNE (All Zone) Adult Day - no change, remaining at £7.50

These changes will apply to tickets purchased on the bus, via our website or app, and through contactless payment, with Day fare capping updated accordingly.

There are no changes to the NECA Capped Adult Single, which will remain at £2.50, or to U22 fares, with the £1 Single and £3 Day Ticket staying the same.
