31 extends to Farley Hill

from Sunday 1 June 2025

A bigger and better 31 is coming your way from Sunday 20 April 2025

We’re making our popular route 31 more frequent and more convenient buses will now run between Dunstable and Luton up to every 15 minutes, Monday to Saturday daytimes. Plus, we’re extending the route to Farley Hill.

That means if you're in Farley Hill, you can now hop on a direct bus to places like Luton and Dunstable Hospital, White Lion and Hatters Way retail parks, and Dunstable town centre, with no need to change buses.

Buses serve Luton Church Street and Luton Interchange in both directions - stand LS2 for Farley Hill and stand LS7 for Dunstable.

We’re also making things simpler. In Farley Hill, buses will follow a simpler, clockwise loop - so there’s a bus at each stop every 15 minutes. This is easier to remember and makes planning your journey a breeze.

Lots of customers have asked for additional seating capacity on buses to Farley Hill. So, to make room for bigger buses with more seats, we won’t be able to serve Meyrick Avenue, Russell Street, Stanley Street, or Dumfries Street. If you usually catch the bus there, the nearest stops are on Bolingbroke Road or Chapel Street which are a short walk away from the current stops.

With these improvements, routes 1 and 4 will no longer run, being replaced by the new and improved Service 31.

We can’t wait to welcome you on board.

The new timetable will be available here very soon
