Mentioned in The Canterbury Tales, this small town lies on the banks of the gentle River Lea. Many of the timber-framed buildings along the High Street date back as far as the 14th century. Visitors can explore sites such as the UK's largest grotto or the historic Maltmaker Statue outside St Mary’s Church. Ware's traditional pubs and restaurants offer a great place to unwind and serve everything from Spanish tapas to classic patisserie.
