Chester Marathon Sunday 17 May 2026

Due to numerous road closures services will be disrupted as below until approximately 1300.

Service 4S

• Journey at 0800 from Mold will divert at The Overleigh Roundabout Via Handbridge.
• Journey at 0910 from Chester will divert at Pepper Street Via Handbridge.

Service 10

• From Chester journeys will divert via Gorse Stacks, St Oswalds Way, St Martins Way, Watergate Street and Sealand Road.
• Towards Chester journeys will divert via New Crane Street, Watergate Street, St Martins Way.  St Oswalds Way and enter the Bus Station from the back slip road.

Service 14

• Journeys at 0900 and 0930 from Chester will not operate
• Journeys between 1000 and 1 230will be diverted via Gorse Stacks, St Oswalds Way, St Martins Way, Watergate Street, Sealand Road, Western Avenue, Saughall Road and then St Chads Road to resume normal route until Blacon Avenue Mini Roundabout, then, Blacon Hall Road, Saughall Road, Western Avenue, Sealand Road, St Martins Way, St Oswalds Way and enter the Bus Station from the back slip road.

Service 14A

• Journeys at 0715, 0745, 0815, 0845, 0915 and 0945 from Chester will not operate.
• Journeys between 1045 and 1245 will be diverted via Gorse Stacks, St Oswalds Way, St Martins Way, Watergate Street, Sealand Road, Western Avenue,  Saughall Road, Blacon Hall Road, then normal route until the end of St Chads, then, Saughall Road, Western Avenue, Sealand Road, St Martins Way, St Oswalds Way and enter the Bus Station from the back slip road.

Service 15A

• Journeys at 0907, 1007, 1107 and 1207 will operate between Chester and the Countess of Chester Hospital only.
