Service Changes in the Bradford and Kirklees Areas from 21st July 2018

Start Date: 21/07/2018

End Date: 02/09/2018

Location: Bradford & Dewsbury

From Saturday 21st July

Arriva Dewsbury

We are making a number of changes to our services in the Bradford and Kirklees areas from the weekend of Saturday 21st July 2018.

280 – Dewsbury to Thornhill – from Saturday 21st July

This service will now operate every 15 minutes on weekday daytimes.

Some very lightly used Saturday morning and Sunday evening trips will no longer operate.

In Dewsbury town centre, all buses will now terminate in Dewsbury Bus Station and will no longer serve Longcauseway and Northgate. Since major changes to this service in May 2017, the stops on this section of route have been lightly used. Following travel surveys, we have identified that most customer prefer to get on and off the bus in Dewsbury Bus Station and do not make use of the option to travel further in to the town centre.

425 – Wakefield to Bradford – from Monday 23rd July

Due to low passenger numbers, some Sunday and Bank Holiday evening trips will no longer operate. These journeys are currently funded by METRO, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
