Service Changes in the Leeds Area from 17th February 2018

From Saturday 17th February

 

We are making a number of changes to our services in Leeds and the surrounding areas from Saturday 17th February. These changes are designed to help improve service reliability.

117 – Wakefield to Leeds from Monday 19th February

The 14:30 weekday journey from Wakefield to Leeds will have a revised timetable to help improve reliability and cater for increased demand between Ossett Academy and Gawthorpe.

163/166 – Castleford to Leeds – from Monday 19th February

Minor changes will be made to the timetable to help improve service reliability in the Cross Gates and York Road areas of Leeds.

167/168 – Castleford to Leeds – from Monday 19th February

Minor changes will be made to the timetable to help improve service reliability in the Hunslet area.

189 – Wakefield to Castleford and Leeds – from Monday 19th February

Minor changes will be made to the timetable to help improve service reliability in the Hunslet area.

A revised timetable will be introduced on Sundays to help improve service reliability.

202/203 – Leeds to Dewsbury and Huddersfield – from Saturday 17th February

Minor changes will be made to the timetable to help improve service reliability in the Hunslet and Beeston areas.

Friday and Saturday night journeys leaving Leeds after 22:30 will be re-routed due to the closure of Call Lane at these times. Between Leeds Corn Exchange and Neville Street, buses will operate along Boar Lane and Mill Hill. They will not serve stops on Call Lane or Swinegate (Bibis Italian restaurant), but will instead call at stop T7 on Boar Lane.

205 – Dewsbury to Pudsey – from Saturday 17th February

Minor changes will be made to the timetable to help improve service reliability in the Gildersome area.

209 – Heckmondwike to Leeds – from Monday 19th February

From Monday 19th February, services leaving Leeds will pick up at stop T7 on Boar Lane. This service will no longer serve stop T8.

223 – Mirfield to Leeds from Saturday 17th February

The Friday and Saturday night 22:30 journey from Leeds will be re-routed due to the closure of Call Lane at this time. Between Leeds Corn Exchange and Neville Street, buses will operate along Boar Lane and Mill Hill. They will not serve stops on Call Lane or Swinegate (Bibis Italian restaurant), but will instead call at stop T7 on Boar   Lane.

229 – Huddersfield to Leeds – from Saturday 17th February

Some minor changes will be made to the timetable to help improve service reliability, particularly during weekday peak traffic periods, where increased congestion is causing delays to certain journeys.

From Monday 19th February, services leaving Leeds will pick up at stop T7 on Boar Lane. This service will no longer serve stop T8.

254 – Leeds to Dewsburyfrom Saturday 17th February

Some minor changes will be made to the timetable to help improve service reliability, particularly during weekday peak traffic periods, where increased congestion is causing delays to certain journeys.

255 – Leeds to Scholes and Halifax – from Saturday 17th February

Some minor changes will be made to the timetable to help improve service reliability, particularly during weekday peak traffic periods. The weekday 14:50 journey between Whitcliffe Mount School and Birkenshaw Bar will be withdrawn due to the changing travel patterns of students in this area.

402/403 – Leeds to Selby – from Monday 19th February

Some minor changes will be made to the weekday timetable to improve reliability in the morning peak.

  • The 05:35 trip from Selby to Leeds will now leave at 05:30 and run up to 5 minutes earlier throughout.
  • The 06:05 trip from Selby to Leeds will now leave at 06:00 and run up to 5 minutes earlier throughout.
  • The 06:55 trip from Leeds to Selby will now leave at 06:50 and run up to 5 minutes earlier throughout
  • The 07:30 trip from Leeds to Selby will now leave at 07:20 and run up to 10 minutes earlier throughout.

Some minor changes will be made to the Saturday 08:25 trip from Leeds to Selby, to improve reliability between Hambleton and Selby.

410 – Leeds to Pontefract and Chequerfield – from Monday 19th February

Minor changes will be made to the timetable to help improve service reliability in the Hunslet area.

425/427 – Wakefield to Bradford – from Monday 19th February

Due to increased traffic congestion between Bradford and Morley, changes will be made to the afternoon timetable on weekdays to help improve service reliability.

The weekday 06:50 427 from Wakefield will operate one minute later throughout.

444 – Wakefield to Leeds – from Monday 19th February

Services towards Leeds South Parade will now use stop T6 on Boar Lane in Leeds City Centre. They will no longer serve stop T8.

446 – Wakefield to Leeds – from Monday 19th February

Services towards Leeds South Parade will now use stop T6 on Boar Lane in Leeds City Centre. They will no longer serve stop T8.

481 – Wakefield to Leeds – from Monday 19th February

Some minor changes will be made to the timetable of this service to help improve reliability, following changes to the route in 2017.

N10 – Leeds to Wakefield – from Friday 23rd February

The 00:35 Friday and Saturday night trips to Leeds will now drop off at stand T6 on Boar Lane in Leeds.

X29 – Heckmondwike to Leeds – from Monday 19th February

To counteract delays on the A62 and Leeds ring road, the route of this service will be revised.

After Gildersome Branch End, morning peak buses will now turn back along the A62 and join the M621 at junction 27 (Birstall Retail Park). Afternoon departures from Leeds will remain on the M621 to junction 27 and then pick up the current route at Gildersome Branch End.

Customers currently using service X29 between Branch End and Leeds Ring Road can use service 229 as an alternative. Please click here for more information.

X41 – Leeds to Wakefield – from Monday 19th February

Minor timetable changes will be made to afternoon journeys, with buses now departing Leeds City Square at 16:41, 17:11 and 17:41.
