Service changes in Eastmoor
Start Date: 23/10/2017
Starting Monday 23rd October 2017
From Monday 23rd October, some changes will be made to our services in Eastmoor.
In October 2016 we made some changes to the route of service 102, following road safety issues with buses meeting in the Linton Road area. This meant that some residents in that area were unable to directly access facilities at Eastmoor terminus by bus.
Since these changes, we have been working with local councillors, Wakefield Council and residents groups to help find a solution to these issues. Unfortunately, we have been unable to find a suitable way to return service 102 to the old route. Therefore, we have looked at other ways to meet the needs of our customers in this area.
From this date, there will be some major changes to the Monday to Saturday daytime timetable of service 104. Current departures from Wakefield to Eastmoor at 09:35, 10:35, 11:35, 12:35, 13:35, 14:35 and 15:35 will no longer operate. These departures from Wakefield will be replaced by trips on new service 100, leaving Wakefield at 33 minutes past the hour. Please click here for the timetable of service 100.
As part of these changes, buses from Eastmoor will no longer continue to Kirkhamgate. Customers will need to change on to new service 112 or services 212/212A at Wakefield Bus Station. Two 104 services per hour on Monday to Saturday daytimes and all evening and Sunday 104 services will continue to operate through to Alverthorpe and Flanshaw.

Minor changes to early evening 102 and 104 services
On weekdays and Saturdays, some minor changes will be made to the 102 and 104 in early evenings. Some trips to and from Eastmoor on service 102 will be converted to service 104, meaning extra buses will serve Harewood Road around these times.
