Requirements

   Key Responsibilities of the role:

Responsible for the effective management of engineering department,

Day to day responsibility for the Health and Safety of staff employed in the workshops and garage areas highlighting any problems to your Manager immediately.

Ensure maintenance of vehicles in order that all services and repair work meet laid down company standards.  Maintenance includes general vehicle inspection, general maintenance, body and electrical repair, annual PCV test and effective use of contractors.

Be familiar with and adhere to Arriva Yorkshire standards and procedures, ensuring that high standards and good practices are maintained, to include quality audit checks to be carried out as a weekly percentage.

 

Personal Specification:

Effective communication skills

The ability to be self-motivated whilst motivating others.

Basic knowledge of health and safety

Basic IT skills

Experience within PCV/HGV industry or similar

Experience of supervising/managing staff.

A flexible approach to work

The ability to work as part of a team

PCV license.
