Arriva Yorkshire scoops number 1 position in Yorkshire and a Top 5 position in the National Customer Satisfaction survey!
Arriva Yorkshire is celebrating following the results of a national customer satisfaction survey by Transport Focus. The poll of over 40,000 passengers placed Arriva Yorkshire as number 1 in Yorkshire and one of the Top 5 best local bus services nationally, in terms of customer satisfaction.
The survey benchmarks the performance of 50 local bus operators and 94% of all passengers surveyed in 2015 said they were either satisfied or very satisfied with the service provided by Arriva Yorkshire, a 10% increase on the 2014 result.
Nigel Featham, regional managing director for Arriva Yorkshire, said: “We are very happy that our customers enjoy our services. Striving to provide a good quality of service is in our DNA, and our employees work tirelessly to ensure this happens”.
In 2015 over 60 new or refurbished buses were launched across the region. These buses feature a fresh new exterior/interior, leather seating with head rests, free WiFi, and the very latest in journey planning technology for all customers. The buses are also fitted with satellite tracking to assist reliability.
Nigel added, “With the launch of our new MAX network, our journey planning app, our premium Sapphire service, reviews of our networks and punctuality improvements, there’s definitely been a big focus on improving the journey experience for our customers; so it’s great to have these efforts recognised.”
