Would you Brave the Shave?!

30 August 16
Arriva Yorkshire ‘Braved the Shave’ at Selby depot this August in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support!

Eight brave volunteers stepped up to have their heads shaved and for those with beards the fun didn’t stop there – their beards were shaved too! The volunteers were Arriva Selby drivers; Stephen Holmes, Tony Woodcock, Brian Martin, Barry White, Christine Parris, Duncan Park, Nigel Lovett. All the fun took place at Selby Park near the bus station.

Tony Woodcock, Inspector at Selby Depot, said, “Eight of us shaved our hair off! It was a lot of fun and we were pleased to be able to support such a worthwhile charity. We will be wearing our brave the shave t-shirts all week, and continuing to raise money for the cause.”

Lots of our employees here at Arriva Yorkshire are very involved with various charities and they love to give back to the community. The ‘Brave the Shave’ event is just one great example of this.  Congratulations to all the staff involved and thank you to everyone at Selby depot for making this happen! A special thank you to hairdresser Penny Campbell for helping out on the day.
