Arriva Christmas Wishes Winners

The tinsel is down, our bellies are full, and the regular trips to the local pub have been replaced with not so regular visits to the local gym. Despite Christmas now being over, we are still feeling the satisfaction of giving to others, as the feedback from our Arriva Christmas Wishes winners flow in.

The Arriva buses Christmas Wishes campaign allowed our valued customers to post one wish on a digital Christmas tree, in hope to have it granted in time for the 25th December. We were tasked to sift through the ever growing number of wishes left each week, and make a special few come true.

Some wishes were impossible, some were extraordinary, and despite wishes for iPads, iPhones, laptops and free bus travel congregated around the tree, a select few stood out as inspiring, original and selfless.

Dominic Lee“My grandma Chris Cox has had a rough year and would love her to get a nice bunch of flowers or a voucher to treat her I am only 4 so my mummy wrote this thank you”

“I wish for a new toilet for the holy cross church Fryston Road, Airedale, Castleford.”

Luisa Lauren
“I wish I could have a new pair of trainers and a warm winter running outfit as I am training for my first ever London Marathon. It's hard work but I am determined to do it :)”

Sarah Daniel
“Dear Santa, I would wish for a single bed for my new house, Christmas is an expensive time of year and I would love a bed in my spare room so that visitors can stay over Xmas :)”

“My dad recently left us and so my mum is left to look after her 4 kids. Christmas is about family though and for my Christmas wish, I would like to do something as a family, maybe go to the cinema, and just remind mum what Christmas is all about. :)”

“I want to start a career and have seen a Life Coaching Course that would be perfect for me as I've always had a passion to help others but 1st I need help myself. The course starts in April next year and it would be a dream come true to go on it.”

The campaign allowed Arriva bus to provide over 30 people from across the UK a Christmas they will not forget. Thank you for all those who participated; we wish you a Happy New Year.
