Celebrating 925 years of service!
Twenty nine of Arriva Yorkshires longest serving employees attended a special lunch at the Leeds Marriot hotel last week, having clocked up an amazing 925 years of service between them.
Head of Operations Jon Croxford compered the awards and was joined by the Mayor of Wakefield and her husband, Mr Jack Cliffe.
Driver Chris Smith from Heckmondwike achieved a noticeable milestone of 50 years, followed by David Bullough (Castleford) and John Blackburn (Wakefield Head office), who both celebrated 45 years of outstanding service.
Nigel Featham, regional managing director for Arriva Yorkshire, said: “The annual long service awards are a highlight on our calendar. They provide a great opportunity for us all to get together and celebrate those who have remained loyal for such a long time. We value the contribution of all our employees across the business. Arriva Yorkshires ongoing success relies on retaining the best people, which is why we are committed to our staff and their future.”
