Travelling around Holyhead
The largest town in the Isle of Anglesey county, Holyhead is a wonderful place to visit, steeped in hundreds of years of history, and filled with more things to do than you can imagine.
A major port on the Irish Sea, it’s a popular holiday destination for people living around the UK. Interestingly, Holyhead is actually separated from Anglesey by the Cymyran Strait and can be found on Holy Island.
Getting around Holyhead is very straightforward, as it’s well connected by road, rail and ferry links. Our Arriva bus services run to a number of places, connecting you to areas such as Talwrn, Bangor and Upper Bangor.
