Arriva makes travelling to Bangor from Holyhead even more accessible.

In a bid to make trips to Bangor more accessible and to meet passenger demands, Arriva Buses Wales will be adding an additional bus to the number 4 group of services which operates between Holyhead and Bangor.

As of the 21st May 2017, passengers will be able to enjoy the benefits of a more reliable service with the addition of an extra bus to the route. The improved service will mean that passengers will have more time to embark and disembark at each stop.

The updates will also include route and service number changes, journeys will be numbered either 4, 4A, 4B,4R, X4, 4X.  Journeys on 4a will now run via Ysbyty Gwynedd.

Dafydd Williams, Bangor General Manager from Arriva Buses Wales commented: “Often routes which pass through the city centre are delayed by the level of traffic on the roads. We hope that the addition of an extra bus will improve our efficiency and show our commitment to the importance of running a reliable service for those travelling by bus.”

These changes come amid other service amendments in Gwynedd*.
