How to obtain Assistance Cards
Arriva is pleased to offer Journey Assistance Cards with a range of messages that tell our drivers what help you’d like during your bus journey.
Discreet and easy to use
The cards are discreet, easy for you to use and easy for others to understand especially if your disability is hidden. Just show the card to the driver as well as your travel ticket when boarding the bus.
Cut out and keep
You can cut out the card or cards you need from this page.
Face covering exemption cards
We also have a set of cards that you can use to show our drivers that you are exempt from wearing a face covering. Please note: it is not mandatory to have one of our exemption cards on you when travelling with us, but you can do so if you wish.

We welcome your feedback
Please also tell us if you have any comments about the cards – we are happy to hear your views or suggestions.
Frequently asked questions
Q - Are the cards free?
A - Yes, there is no charge for Assistance Cards.
Q - Can I use my card on non-Arriva buses?
A - Arriva is one of a number of bus operators who have produced Assistance Cards. Although they have our name and logo on, we expect that other operators will recognise the card (just as we will recognise theirs) because it is not a ticket or a pass.
