Arriva boss claims top job
Howard Farrall, area managing director for Arriva Merseyside has been elected chairman of the North West region for the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT).
Howard, who has 37 years of experience in the bus industry, took up his position at the annual CPT meeting on April 16. He will hold the post for two years, in what promises to be a very interesting time for the bus industry.
“I have been a member of the CPT for many years and have sat on various committees, more recently as chairman of the North West Bus Commission. I am looking forward to being chairman, particularly in the ever changing world of election year,” said Howard.
“I will chair four meetings a year as well as other events, including the North West Bus Summit in November.”
The CPT is a trade association, which represents the UK’s bus, coach and light rail industries.
