Arriva Winsford helps out at Darnhall Primary School
A group of excited school children have had a taste of life behind the wheel of an Arriva double-deck bus.
The bus visited Darnhall Primary School at Winsford to help pupils with their class topic on transport.
They were invited to hop on board and explore the vehicle, including sitting in the driver’s cab. Until then, they had been using a pretend bus in the ‘role play’ area of their classroom to act out their favourite stort - ‘The Naughty Bus’.
The visiting Winsford depot bus played an important role in helping the children learn through a real experience.
Driver Chris Bird said: “Driving’s a good job, every day is different. It was nice to see the children enjoying the bus and seeing what happens in the cab.”
Darnhall head teacher Sarah Tomlinson added: “The children had a fantastic time. The bus brought real-life experiences into the school, which is a wonderful way to extend their learning.”
