New Ashington buses have a MAXimum impact
Titan the robot took travel to the MAX as he launched Arriva’s new X20 buses which serve, Newcastle upon Tyne, Ashington, Widdrington, Amble and Alnwick.
These state of the art buses feature, free on board WIFI, luxury high backed leather style seating and the very latest in journey planning technology for customers.
Titan performed at the Woodhorn Museum, followed by a visit to Wansbeck Primary School. Prior to the event students were asked to design a futuristic bus feature for a chance to the win the star prize - an iPad Mini. Local student Hannah Jane Lunny was the lucky winner.
Nick Knox, area managing director for Arriva North East said: “We know that our passengers want quick, no fuss, links into the city centre, and MAX does just that. We’ve already had great feedback about the free WIFI and new interiors.”
“As a company we are always looking into new technologies and concepts in order to enhance the journey experience, so what better way to celebrate the launch of MAX than with a world famous robot!”
The X20 route operates up to every 30 minutes between Newcastle upon Tyne and Ashington.
