Hoverboard Winner is Transported ‘Back to the Future’ with MAX

On 2 November Arriva North East celebrated the official launch of the MAX X46 and Frequenta 49/49A services with their customers!

The ‘Back to the Future’ themed event was fun for all the family with a hoverboard performance, photo booth fun and an all you can eat pizza van! Arriva North East gave away loads of freebies on the night and lucky winner, Paula Dinning, walked away with a brand new hoverboard! Just in time for Christmas!

The MAX X46 service operates up to every 20 minutes, from Durham to Stanhope, via Crook and Tow Law. This bus offers a great package of benefits for all passengers, including free WIFI, USB charging ports, fresh exteriors, stylish and ambient interiors, luxury e-leather seats with head rests, and the very latest in journey planning technology.

Frequenta 49/49A service operates up to every 10 minutes, from Durham to Sawmills, via Langley Moor and Brandon. This service has been fully revamped, providing an enhanced cross-town link and includes free Wi-Fi.

Nick Knox, area managing director for Arriva North East said: “Congratulations to Paula Dinning on winning her hoverboard, it is great to reward our customers. We’re constantly working towards improving the journey experience for our customers, so we’re delighted to have launched further improvements in Durham. The 49/49A is our second Frequenta service in Durham which provides a service up to every 10 minutes, and the X46 is the newest edition to the MAX network featuring all of the standard MAX benefits.”
