Arriva rings in the changes with help from Lucy Allan MP
Lucy Allan MP visited Arriva Midlands’ Telford depot in July to get an insight into the local bus network which had just received a complete makeover.
Lucy met with area director, Rob Cheveaux, head of business development, Keith Myatt, and the local management team in Telford to see first-hand how the network was being transformed – with new links, improved frequencies along sections of route where we know demand is there along with more direct services making bus travel a viable alternative to using the car.
Lucy Allan MP said: “A massive shake up in bus services across the borough came into effect on 19th July.
“Naturally bus users were concerned about the impact this would have so I am grateful to the officers of Telford & Wrekin Council and Arriva for taking the time to meet with me.”
Rob Cheveaux, Arriva’s Area Director West added: “It was a pleasure to meet Lucy Allan the newly elected MP for Telford; this gave me the opportunity to highlight the changes being made to the local bus network in and around the town.
“Through this visit she was able to understand the reasons for the changes, the benefits to our existing customers and that the new network will also attract new customers to grow the business.”
