Up to November 30 Arriva is also offering eight weeks of travel on services in Chaddesden and Oakwood for £60 reduced from £80 (buy one month get the second at half price) on m-tickets.

The offer coincides with the revamp of Arriva’s vehicles on the 20/26 routes with increased comfort and connectivity for passengers.

The fleet of seven vehicles on the 20/26 routes is being refurbished with newly upholstered seats, the installation of free Wi-Fi and USB charging, and a stylish new livery to help customers recognise the upgraded buses.

The first refurbished bus went out on the route on October 21, with the rollout of revamped services continuing throughout November.

Arriva Midlands Managing Director (East), Simon Mathieson, said: “We’re excited about the investment and hard work going into our services and we want to tempt more passengers on-board.

“This offer makes commuting by bus more affordable than the cost of parking and petrol and represents a great saving for passengers in Chaddesden and Oakwood.”

Mr Mathieson said Arriva was monitoring the success of the promotion and looking at plans to roll out similar ticketing offers across Derby.
