Arriva bus drivers donate (and deliver) their Christmas dinners to the needy
Arriva Cannock drivers donated and delivered their Christmas dinners to charities in Stafford and Wolverhampton.
Drivers each receive a Christmas dinner from Arriva at the Pit Stop café at their Delta Way depot in Cannock.
More than 50 drivers decided to donate their meals which were delivered to Eagle House and the women’s refuge in Stafford; and the Good Shepherd Ministry in Wolverhampton.
Driver Mick Szydlowski (COR) organised the collection and delivery of the meals this afternoon (Fri) with staff from the café.
Arriva Cannock operations manager Andy Percy said: “It’s a fantastic idea and it’s great to see our drivers getting into the Christmas spirit and helping those in need.
“Arriva provides a meal for the drivers each year and it’s a great gesture from them and, in particular Mick, to bring this together.”
