RMC1464 - 464 CLT
Bus type: Open top Routemaster with platform door
Seating capacity: 61 (36 upstairs, 25 downstairs)
Year: 1962
Engine type: in 1992 becomes the only Routemaster Coach to be fitted with an Iveco engine.
Claims to fame: This vehicle has been used in many celebration parades. On Derby Day and Ladies Day at Epsom she is a popular means of transport, but also provides a fantastic viewing platform for the races.
RMC1464 also carries Arriva's staff in the Lord Mayor's Show in recognition of their charitable giving.
Routes she has served
From 1962: works from Guildford to the southern end of Green Line coach route 715. Unusually she is based at Riverside, a red London Transport garage. Here she also acts as a standby coach for all Green Line routes.From 1970: acquired by London Country Buses and works from garages including Addlestone, Guildford, Windsor, St Albans, Tring and Leatherhead.
From 1979: returns to London Transport ownership and becomes a training bus.
In 1990: renovated and converted to open top by our Norwood Garage engineering team who name her 'Norwood Princess'.
In 1995: joins the Leaside Travel fleet in North London.
In 2006: returns to Norwood as an important member of our Heritage fleet.
RM2217 - CUV 217C
Bus type: London's last production standard Routemaster
Seating capacity : 64 (36 upstairs, 28 downstairs)
Year : 1965
Engine type: Cummins B series Euro 2 fitted in 2001. Also has an Allison gearbox and Telma electrical retarder.
Claims to fame: In 2004 RM2217 was painted purple and had its windows boarded up to create the 'triple decker' Knight Bus of Harry Potter fame. That November RM 2217 performed a UK tour to promote the release of the Harry Potter films on DVD.
This vehicle was the last standard-length Routemaster built in May 1965. It also operated the last scheduled journey of a traditional Routemaster on route 159 on 8 December 2005.

From 1965: routes from Willesden and other London Transport garages.
From 1979: routes from Brixton.
RM5 - VLT 5
Bus type: The first production Routemaster introduced in June 1959
Seating capacity : 64 (36 upstairs, 28 downstairs)
Year : 1959
Engine type: AEC, the type fitted when new nearly 50 years ago.
This bus retains the original 1960s and 1970s Routemaster seat moquette upholstery and lighting. In 2009 this vehicle was restored to near original condition.
Routes it has served
From 1959: route 8.
From 1960: routes 69 and 257 to replace trolley buses.
From 1972: route 221 then route 12.
From 1976: route 51.
From 1977: Wood Green routes.
From 1981: route 29.
From 1992: route 38.
From 2001: route 73, carrying the last crew-operated service journey in September 2004. It also featured on last day operations on routes 38 and 159 before forming an integral part of the Heritage Fleet.
RMC1453 - 453 CLT
Bus type: The first production Green Line Routemaster coach introduced in 1962
Seating capacity : 57 (32 upstairs, 25 downstairs)
Year: 1962
Claim to fame: This bus was central to London Transport's 1962 publicity campaign to promote its new fleet of Green Line Routemaster coaches. The photo was taken in beautiful leafy surroundings near Surrey's Wisley Gardens.
Routes it has served
From 1962: route 715 between Hertford and Guildford.
From 1973: repainted in National Bus Company colours, RMC1453 works from several garages in Surrey and Essex.
From 2005: Avoids a premature end at a Yorkshire scrap yard when London Country Bus Services withdraws its Routemasters. Becomes a driver training vehicle for London Transport.
From 1992: Joins the Leaside Travel fleet working route 159 until the very last day of Routemaster operation in December 2005.
In 2013: Arriva joins forces with the National Trust to restore the bus as closely as possible to its original Green Line coach condition.
