Travelling around Earlestown
Earlestown is situated in the Metropolitan Borough of St Helens, Merseyside, and forms the western part of the desirable market town of Newton-le-Willows.
Earlestown has excellent road and rail links, with Manchester, Liverpool and Chester close by. Arriva bus services operate in the area, with routes to St. Helens, Leigh and Haydock.
There are plenty of options in Earlestown if you’re looking for a spot of retail therapy. In the bustling town centre, you’ll find several well-known high street names, as well as a number of specialist and independent retailers. And for all you bargain hunters, Earlestown Flea & Craft Market is an absolute must. It has stalls selling everything from clothing and electronics to books and vinyl records.
For some fresh air, try a walk around Willow Park. The kids can burn off some energy at the children’s playground and you can feed the ducks on the lake. There are little sculptures and other hidden secrets dotted around the park, so why not take a walk through the woods and count how many you can find?
If you fancy a flutter, head to Haydock Park Racecourse, which is just a couple of miles down the road from Earlestown Station and attracts visitors from all over the country.
When it’s time to eat, there are several cafés and restaurants in Earlestown, so you’re sure to find something tasty that fits the bill. Head to one of Earlestown’s many bars and pubs at night time for your favourite tipple. Or you could hop on a bus and head into St. Helens.
