Glass making

Earlestown has a rich history, with the railways, sugar factory, glass making and engineering works all forming a significant part of its heritage. Earlestown Town Hall – an impressive Grade II listed building – was built in 1893 and remains very much a symbol of civic pride, despite being vacant for several years. Earlestown’s excellent railway links into Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington and Chester have made the town a highly desirable location with commuters in the North West.
