Service Changes in Northumberland – from Sunday 29th September 2019

There will be changes to some services in Northumberland from Sunday 29th September 2019 to mark the end of the summer season, improve punctuality and respond to customers’ requests.
The changes are described in detail below. Simply click on the links to download new timetables for each service. Printed leaflets are available on buses and from the Alnwick, Ashington, Blyth, Morpeth and Newcastle Haymarket bus stations.
MAX X14: Newcastle – Regent Centre – Morpeth – Longhorsley – Longframlington – Rothbury – Thropton
Following customers’ requests, the Monday to Saturday bus at 0923 from Newcastle to Morpeth will extend to Longhorsley, Longframlington, Rothbury and Thropton (arriving there at 1044). This means that the journey at 1143 from Morpeth to Newcastle will start in Thropton at 1054, then serve Rothbury at 1100, Longframlington at 1116 and Longhorsley at 1123.
Unfortunately, as a result of this, the Monday to Saturday bus at 1023 from Newcastle to Thropton will finish in Morpeth at 1055, while the one at 1154 from Thropton to Newcastle will start in Morpeth at 1243.
The Monday to Friday bus at 0650 from Morpeth to Thropton will leave at 0645 and run five minutes earlier throughout the route to improve punctuality and reduce the impact of any delays on later journeys.
MAX X15: Newcastle – Regent Centre – Morpeth – A1 – Alnwick – Belford – Berwick-upon-Tweed
This service will have a slightly revised schedule between Alnwick, Belford and Berwick-upon-Tweed to improve punctuality and better match the finish time of Berwick Academy.
MAX X18: Newcastle – Morpeth – Amble – Alnwick – Craster – Seahouses – Belford – Berwick-upon-Tweed
This service will run to its winter timetable between Alnwick, Craster, Seahouses, Belford and Berwick-upon-Tweed, comprising 3-4 journeys per day each way. However, the X18 will work alongside the Travelsure 418 to provide a more frequent service in each direction between Alnwick, Craster, Seahouses and Belford.
Evening and Sunday journeys will also operate to a slightly revised timetable between Alnwick and Amble to improve punctuality.
