Information regarding revisions to Service X66 from Sunday 25th October 2015.
From Sunday 25th October, we're making some exciting changes to Service X66 between Darlington, Stockton & Middlesbrough.
We're upgrading the frequency of the service overall, which will result in an improved 'up to every 15 minutes' frequency between Darlington, Stockton & Middlesbrough, made up of a 30 minute Service X66 and a 30 minute Service X67 combined.
Users of our existing Service 6 in Stockton, will see their bus renumbered to X67 and new links to Middlesbrough & Darlington introduced, for passengers to take full advantage of.
Within Darlington, Service X66 will continue to operate to its current route, albeit up to every 30 minutes instead of the current 20 minute frequency. Within Stockton, Service X66 will be diverted to serve Thornaby Station, before joining the A66 and running direct to Middlesbrough.
Service X67 will operate via Haughton Road and the B2679 to the A66, serving stops at Darlington College and Lingfield Point. These journeys will then leave the A66 at Hartburn and operate swiftly through West Stockton, before combining with the X66 to continue the 'up to every 15 minutes' frequency via Thornaby Station to Middlesbrough Bus Station.
Evening and Sunday Service X66 journeys will be revised to operate additionally via West Stockton & Hartburn, hourly, providing later connections between Middlesbrough, Stockton & Darlington for commuters and alike.
We're really confident that you will love these revisions and look forward to welcoming you on board!
Revised printed timetables are currently in production and will be available from our travel shops, on bus and all usual stockists very soon.
